Irregularities: LHC seeks details of plots
CM had allotted plots in Garden Town to his favourites in violation of rules
LAHORE:
Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday sought details of the plots distributed by the then Punjab chief minister Nawaz Sharif in 1988. The court directed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to submit details of the plots at the next hearing, July 28. Earlier, an LDA official stated that they were collecting records of the plots. Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan remarked that record was preserved all over the world, but not in Pakistan. He said apparently the LDA was not fulfilling its responsibilities. The court was holding proceedings on a petition filed by Advocate Noshab A Khan. He had submitted that in 1988, the then CM had allotted plots in Garden Town to his favourites in violation of rules.
