NEP: Body endorses roadmap
The final draft of NEP-2009 will be submitted to the seventh IPEMC for final approval
ISLAMABAD:
Minister of State for Education and Professional Training Balighur Rehman chaired a second meeting of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2009 Review Committee and reviewed decisions taken earlier and approved the NEP roadmap envisaged earlier.
The NEP roadmap calls for formation of focus groups by all federating units to submit recommendations for addition or deletion in the NEP 2009 under Education Vision 2025.
According to the roadmap, all the federating units will hold a provincial or area dialogue on the NEP-2009 and will come up with tangible recommendations for improvement in the NEP 2009 till the third week of July.
The meeting was told that all the federating units may include suggestions of the academia, civil society and public for making changes in the policy.
