International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is celebrated across the world
HARIPUR:
Activists will gather in Haripur on Friday (today) to discuss the government’s role in rehabilitating victims of torture. The event has been planned to commemorate the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture and has been organised by Human Development Organisation (HDO) in collaboration with the United Nations. The discussion, titled “Right to rehabilitation of victims of torture and state’s responsibilities”, will be held at Afaq Hotel in Haripur from 5pm to 7:30pm. International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is celebrated across the world to show solidarity with survivors of torture.
