Rawalpindi police have set up a check-post in Khayabane Sir Syed to control street crimes in the neighbourhood.
In 2014, Rawalpindi police claimed to have arrested 10,155 suspects and busted 151 gangs while seizing stolen articles from their possession. A yearly reported had revealed that 35 suspected criminals accused of killing people for resisting robberies were also arrested in 2014.

Rawalpindi police have set up a check-post in Khayabane Sir Syed to control street crimes in the neighbourhood.
Residents had been demanding a police picket in view of the rising incidents of street crime in the area. The post has been set up on a plot reserved for a new police station on IJ Principal Road.
City Circle SDPO Sardar Babar Mumtaz said the post will help control robberies and mugging incidents in the area.
