Residents continued to stage protests at more than 15 locations of the city over prolonged unannounced load-shedding, on the third consecutive day since the start of Ramazan. Women and children were among the hundreds of protesters who were seen setting tyres on fire to block traffic. The blockage of roads, particularly on Sharae Pakistan and Korangi Road, caused traffic jams. Five Star Chowrangi in North Nazimabad, Old Golimar Chowrangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Buffer Zone, Surjani, Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, University Road, New MA Jinnah Road, Scheme 33 near Safora Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Gulberg, Saudabad, Liaquatabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Korangi were among the areas where the protests were held.
