Sharifs reference decision delayed

Express April 26, 2010

RAWALPINDI: An accountability court in Rawalpindi deferred the decision on reopening 3 references against the Sharif family till May 3 on Monday.

NAB had earlier filed a petition to reopen these references against the Sharif family including Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.

Justice Wamiq Javed of the accountability court had earlier said the verdict would be given on April 26th.

The decision has been postponed owing to the court being laden with a lot of work.

The 3 references include Hudabia Paper Mills, Raiwind Mehal and Itfaq Foundry.

Previously, the hearing of these cases had been delayed due to the absence of the Sharif family in Pakistan.
