Relationship: PPP, army have no differences, says Ashraf
The army has been fighting a war for the country’s survival
SIALKOT:
Former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said on Saturday there was no conflict between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Army. “The PPP cannot even think of speaking against the army,” Ashraf told the media. He praised the army for rendering sacrifices in the country’s war on terrorism. “The army has been fighting a war for the country’s survival,” he said. Commenting on the law and order situation in Karachi, he said all institutions, including Rangers, were trying to improve the situation. The former prime minister criticised the government for load shedding of electricity. He said during his term there was load shedding of only three hours a day. The situation has now gone from bad to worse, he said.
