Data Centre Services: Samba Bank, PTCL sign agreement

Samba Bank Limited, a subsidiary of Samba Financial Group, and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Pakistan’s largest telecommunication service provider, have signed an agreement under which the latter will provide data centre co-location services to the former for both production and disaster recovery sites. Speaking on the occasion, Samba Bank CEO Shahid Sattar said, “Technology plays a vital role in up-scaling an organisation and therefore collocating data centre services to PTCL is a long-term strategic move to provide uninterrupted service to our valued customers. Meanwhile, PTCL Chief Digital Services Officer Kamal Ahmed said, “Our trust and ‘customer first’ strategy provides technology of international standards to government, educational and enterprise markets and the banking sector.”
