The Anti-Narcotics Force Rawalpindi arrested a professional drug carrier named Ajab Din, a resident of Kohat, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) during road checking at Haji Shah Mor, GT Road, Attock.


In the intelligence-led operation, officials recovered six kilogrammes of hashish concealed in his luggage. As per preliminary investigation, the suspect is involved in transportation of drugs from K-P to Punjab.


In another incident, ANF intercepted a motorcyclist identified as Imran Khan, a resident of Jhelum, at Jada Chowk, GT Road, Jhelum and recovered 1.2kg hashish from his possession. Reportedly, the suspect is involved in peddling drugs at the local level.


Cases have been registered against the suspects at respective ANF police stations and further investigations are under way, said an official.
