Basic necessity: Body formed to ensure water supply

The body will also review steps put in place to address citizens’ complaints

The district government has formed a committee under two directorates of Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) Rawalpindi to ensure provision of water and stop dengue outbreak in the city.


According to an official source, the Punjab government had issued strict directives to ensure supply of clean drinking water in
the city besides taking steps to stop the outbreak of dengue.

The committee headed by Director Water Supply Ahmed Manzoor has

been assigned to visit at least 10 tube-wells and water filtration plants daily to ensure water was being supplied.

The body will also review steps put in place to address citizens’ complaints.
