ISLAMABAD:

Islamabad Police have increased patrolling as part of a special security plan for the capital during Ramazan.

SSP Operations Sajid Kiani said all police officials would ensure presence in their respective areas during Taraweeh hours and monitor the officials deployed at mosques.

Addressing the police employees at National Library on Friday, he said officials of sub-inspector or assistant sub-inspector rank would remain present in their respective areas. They will forward details of the persons they check to the SSP office on a daily basis.

Kiani also directed officials to include Eagles and Falcon squads of Islamabad Police in patrolling and ensure protection of the lives and property of the citizens. He also directed them to make patrolling resulted-oriented rather than wasting time and resources on it.

The SSP also asked police officials to do justice with their jobs and accomplish their responsibilities. He directed the high-ups to ensure welfare of all those policemen performing duties at police pickets in tough conditions.
