NZ under scrutiny after dismal run

Cricket board to review team’s performance against Bangladesh, India.

AUCKLAND:
New Zealand Cricket Chief Executive Justin Vaughan will review the national team’s performances after they were thrashed 5-0 by India in a One-Day International (ODI) series.

The defeat extended New Zealand’s losing streak in ODIs to 11, after they had lost 4-0 to Bangladesh. New Zealand also went down in the Test series against India after a defeat in the third match following two draws.

“A range of matters will be discussed relating to team performance, leading to recommendations for the board,” said Vaughan. “New Zealand Cricket is  looking forward to formulating a robust review process.”

Vaughan said the review, which would include interviews with players and team management, would take about a week to complete.
