Dangerous business: Two injured in cylinder explosion

Police said that the injured men were taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment

LAHORE:
Two people were injured after a gas cylinder blew up at an LPG filling shop near Naqsha Stop on Wahdat Road on Wednesday. Muslim Town police said Arshad, the owner of the shop, and 32-year-old Haider, a customer, were badly injured after a cylinder in the shop blew up. A mosque next to the shop was badly damaged as a result and a rickshaw parked in front of the shop burned down completely. Police said that the injured men were taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment. They said that they would initiate legal proceedings against Arshad once his treatment was complete. Police said they had sealed the shop. The cylinder explosion was so loud that most of the residents of the area panicked and rushed to the scene thinking it was a bomb blast.
