KARACHI:

On the orders of the court, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) handed over copies of three witnesses’ statements to Axact on Tuesday.

Complying with the court’s order a day earlier, the copies were handed over to the accused party during Tuesday’s hearing of the fake degrees case in Judicial Magistrate (South) Noor Muhammad Kalmati’s court.

The court has also ordered recording statements of witnesses in jail on June 20. According to the FIA, the witnesses include Abdur Rauf Qureshi, Abbas Ali Shah and Saleem Qureshi.

Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court has postponed until Thursday the hearing for entertaining the pleas for revoking BOL TV’s no-objection certificate and preventing the channel from being aired in the absence of security clearance for directors and shareholders of Labbaik Private (Ltd).

The hearing was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but it was deferred on account of the passing away of Barrister Farogh Naseem’s father.
