Justice served: Three men convicted of spreading hate

Abdul Aziz, Qari Muhammad Nasir and Muhammad Ramzan were caught distributing pamphlets on sectarian violence

An Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Khalid Arshad sentenced three men convicted of distributing banned literature and spreading hate.



Prosecution said Abdul Aziz, Qari Muhammad Nasir and Muhammad Ramzan were caught distributing pamphlets on sectarian violence and had made hate-speeches on February 10 in Bahawalnagar. Abdul Aziz was sentenced to 14 months in jail and was fined Rs125,000. Qari Muhammad Nasir was sentenced to three months imprisonment and fined Rs25,000. If he failed to pay, he would have to undergo an additional sentence of two months.


Muhammad Ramzan was sentenced to three months imprisonment and fined Rs25,000 rupees. He would also undergo an additional sentence of two months if he failed to pay.
