Safoora attack: Judge sends three accused on physical remand
The bus attack suspects were finally implicated on Saturday in the main case after a lapse of three weeks
KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) gave seven-day physical remand of three suspects of the Safoora attack to police.
The suspects were allegedly involved in the massacre of 47 members of the Ismaili community in an attack on a bus at Safoora Goth in Karachi.
The bus attack suspects were finally implicated on Saturday in the main case after a lapse of three weeks. However, ambiguity still persists as the law enforcers clubbed three suspects only though they had arrested five.
The suspects – Tahir Minhas Saien, alleged mastermind of the Ismaili massacre, Saad Aziz alias Tin Tin, who was to film the killing and Asadur Rehman Malik, whose car was allegedly used in the attack, were presented before the ATC-I. The papers submitted to the court read names of at least 10 absconders.
