Heinous Crime: Girl abducted, raped

Her uncle said doctors treating her had told them that she was in a critical condition

FAISALABAD:
A child was abducted and gang raped by two unidentified men near Sahianwala police station, her family said on Friday. Anwar Bashir, an uncle of the girl, told The Express Tribune that his eight-year-old niece, a resident of Chak 23-JB, had gone to a neighbourhood shop to purchase candy when two men abducted her. He said they took the girl to a maize field where they raped her. He said the men abandoned her there and fled. He said some farmers found her and took her to a hospital. He said doctors treating her had told them that she was in a critical condition. The Sahianwala SHO said police had registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s father. He said a team had been formed to find and arrest the suspects.
