Encroachments in Tibba Colony demolished
Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Yawar Hussain supervised the operation
FAISALABAD:
Illegal residences in Tibba Colony around FDA City were on Thursday.
Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Yawar Hussain supervised the operation. He directed residents to remove their belongings from the area within a day or they would be confiscated.
The DG told The Express Tribune that the illegal occupants in Tibba Colony had been given three-marla plots and had been requested to vacate the site and shift to their residences in the allotted plots.
He said many of them had ignored instructions in this regard.
“We issued several notices but they did not budge,” he said. He said later, the FDA gave them a week’s deadline to move.
“Again, they ignored us,” he said. He said on Thursday, the government demolished some quarters and gave residents tractor trolleys to move their goods. He said they had been given a day’s deadline to move voluntarily.
