ISLAMABAD:

Amid declining exports, the board of administrators at the Export Development Fund (EDB) on Tuesday unanimously decided to hold sector-specific exhibitions to strategically project country’s exportable products.

This will come as an addition to the Expo Pakistan that is held every year for the same purpose.

Decision to this effect was taken at the 68th meeting of the board of administrators held at the Ministry of Commerce. The board also decided to lease the VHT Plant imported by TDAP to PARC Agrotech Company Limited (PATCO) which was a subsidiary of Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), working under the Ministry of National Food Security and Research.

The PARC will provide land for the installation of VHT plants and PATCO will run the plant for treatment of fruits and vegetables.
