KARACHI: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan here on Wednesday and briefed him about the efforts being made to overcome the shortage of electricity in the country. The minister said that fair distribution of electricity in all areas of the country was being ensured while measures were also being taken to control power theft without any discrimination. He said various power generation projects had been initiated to bridge the gap between demand and supply of electricity. He hoped that load-shedding would be ended in the next three years after completion of those projects. The governor appreciated the measures being taken by the federal government for power generation and emphasised the need for a quick solution to the energy crisis as it was hampering industrial growth in the country.
