According to PTI Karachi information secretary Dawa Khan Sabir, interested candidates can collect application forms from the party office on June 15. "We will consider party supporters as well as party workers," he explained.
Sabir said that the campaign to attract voters was in full swing, adding that a workers convention and a jalsa would be held in Baldia Town and Shershah this week. He explained that party activists had been tasked to run the campaign in their areas.
"[Imran Khan] will visit all six districts and the party will hold big rallies in each district," he said.
When asked if the PTI would make an alliance with the Jamaat-e-Islami or any other political party, Sabir rejected the idea. "We will contest the polls alone."
Hoping that the next mayor of Karachi would be from his party, he termed the PTI an alternative choice for the people of the metropolis. "The problems of Karachi can only be solved if the city has national-level leadership," he believed. "PTI is one such party, which has support and representation in all parts of the country."
