MULTAN:

Governor Rafique Rajwana expressed dissatisfaction on Tuesday with the performance of several universities in the province.

He was speaking at a press conference at Circuit House.

“The performance of several universities, including Bahauddin Zakariya University, is not satisfactory,” the governor said. He said he had received various complaints regarding poor performance of universities.

He said work on Multan Metro Bus Service was underway. He said he hoped that the project would be completed ahead of its scheduled timeframe.

He said there had been some problems in acquisition of land for the service. The government, he said, had offered compensation to land owners.

Rajwana said the road from Double-Phattak Chowk to Vehari Chowk would be widened.

He said he would talk to authorities at the Multan Electric Power Company about load shedding in the city.
