Post-Budget: Farmers’ living standard to improve
The government also aims to replace old seeds with new ones and wheat and sugarcane crops would be preferred

Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF) President and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Tuesday said allocations for the agriculture sector have been significantly increased. “The new budget will improve standard of living of the farmers,” he said. The allocation in the budget 2015-16 may be jacked up to 300-500% while approximately 700 people would be deployed as field staff to serve the agriculture sector. Moreover, already employed staff would be trained and a number of training centres would be established for the farmers. He said four million samples would be collected from different areas for analysis in order to improve per-acre yield.
