DRO produces incomplete results

DC Riaz Mehsud, who served as the district returning officer, has failed to produce complete local government poll results.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, a notification had been issued to all DROs, asking them to submit and display results at their offices by June 8. However, Mehsud failed to comply with the deadline. He displayed results of 83 out of Peshawar’s 92 district council seats, The Express Tribune learnt.
As per current standings, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf secured 43 seats, independent candidates bagged 12, Awami National Party nine, Jamaat-e-Islami five, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl six, Pakistan Peoples Party seven and Pakistan Rah-e-Haq Party managed to secure one seat. Mehsud provided no reason for the delay and following a protest of journalists, assured he will produce complete results by Wednesday (today).
