For Cpec: Chinese firm to take steps for more trade

The proposed science and technology and logistics park will serve as a repository for all trade goods

ISLAMABAD: Chinese company Xinjiang Production and Construction intends to set up a science and technology and logistic park in Pakistan to promote trade between both countries.  A seven-member Chinese delegation, led by Huang Zhigang, Commissar of the Thirteenth Division in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, visited the Board of Investment (BoI) on Monday. The delegation also met BoI Secretary Iftikhar Babar and discussed different investment opportunities available in the country in different sectors of the economy, said a statement. Babar also highlighted that the government has taken a number of initiatives to attract foreign investment and in this regard, the significant improvements can be witnessed on both fronts. The proposed science and technology and logistics park will serve as a repository for all trade goods, coming to Pakistan via the Pak-China Economic Corridor.
