Tragic: Seven of a family killed in accident

Seven people of a family, including three women and a child, were killed and nine others were critically injured when a speeding truck collided with a van on Monday. A police spokesman said a van going towards Fort Abbas was hit by a truck near Chak 68/4R. He said Muhammad Hanif, a resident of village 46/12-L and his family members including Razia Bibi, Salma Bibi, Fatima and an eight-year-old died on the spot and nine others were severely injured. They were taken to a Bahawalpur Victoria Hospital in a critical condition. Their bodies were taken to their ancestral village for burial.
