Ambassador slams articles 'hell bent upon destroying reputation of Tajikistan'
Ambassador refutes media reports on prostitutes wearing hijabs and a ban on ‘Arabic-sounding’ names in Tajikistan
The ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan has refuted media reports on prostitutes wearing hijabs and a ban on ‘Arabic-sounding’ names in Tajikistan.
“The article, Tajikistan state TV says prostitutes are wearing hijabs to drive up prices, offends the sense and dignity of our people, who despite all trials tribulations, continued to hard work and build a bright future,” the ambassador claimed.
Further, he clarified in an article titled "After beards, hijabs, Tajikistan wants to ban ‘Arabic-sounding’ names", the true intention of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was deliberately distorted and interpreted with malicious intent.
The ambassador's rejoinder is as follows:
If you look at the calls and proposals of the government of the Republic of Tajikistan, they are that firstly the Tajiks are one of the oldest nations, which has own culture, including a national style dress in accordance with the requirements of our Holy religion a national Islam and Hanafi mazhab. National clothing is the property the people, the embodiment of its culture and traditions, displaying worldview and of the like. Folk clothing carries the traditions and customs of the regions, modified and improved.
Secondly, traditional Islamic culture is one of the highest forms of existence of the human spirit, it is the result of tremendous spiritual work of many generations of the most talented Muslim, helping people to open the door to wisdom and beauty, that is the shortest way to achieve the ultimate goal of their aspirations for a healthy and harmonious existence. Islamic culture has absorbed the original folk art of all Muslim nations, not dissolving and not obesity its bright colors, but on the contrary, enriching the artistic palette national art multicoloured Islamic spiritual and aesthetic experience.
Thirdly, during Islam formed a unique synthesis of Islam and the ethno sphere, when verses of the Quran and Hadith – covenants ancestors are equivalent, and that ethnic attitudes passed down from generation to generation.
