Food Minister and Cabinet Committee for Price Control chairman Bilal Yasin said on Sunday a campaign had been started against shopkeepers overcharging their customers. The minister paid a surprise visit to Sunday Bazaars in Wahdat Colony, Shadman and Delhi Gate. He said the government would give a subsidy on essential items at Ramazan Bazaars. “No shopkeeper will be allowed to overcharge. Those doing so will be fined,” he said. Yasin directed TMO Sohail Ahmed to set up more stalls at Sunday Bazaar in Wahdat Colony. During his visit to Delhi Gate’s Sunday bazaar, he suspended Ravi Town TMO Malik Ibrar for delinquency and ordered an inquiry against him.
