Crackdown: 22 arrested for doing wheelies

Police arrested 22 bikers on Sunday for doing wheelies on various city roads

LAHORE: Police arrested 22 bikers on Sunday for doing wheelies on various city roads. Muslim Town police set up a picket at the Canal Road early in the morning. They arrested Usman, Shaukat, Amjad, Tanveer, Waseem, Aamir and Jameel. Muslim Town SHO Nasir Hameed said that cases had been registered against the suspects. Their bikes were also impounded, he said. Ghalib Market and Gulberg police had set up pickets on the Main Boulevard on Sunday. They arrested 15 bikers for performing stunts. Operations DIG Haidar Ashraf said that police would continue the crackdown. “One-wheeling is a fatal sport. Parents should stop their children from performing such dangerous stunts,” he said.
