LAHORE:

President Mamnoon Hussain’s speech at the joint session of parliament was extracted from prime minister’s press releases issued over the past several weeks, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri said on Thursday.

“It was like a speech made by a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz worker,” Qadri said while addressing party workers via video link.

He said it seemed that the president was unaware of the problems faced by the country. “The country is mired in lawlessness and corruption but the president keeps on praising  the prime minister,” Qadri said. He said the president did not speak on the issues of load shedding and inflation. He said the president did not advise the government on Kashmir and Myanmar issues.

shahid | 9 years ago | Reply Tahir ul Qadri is one of the greatest person of this age but we have a nation of people who make the qaum of Musa AS look rather good. For days on end this man called us out to support the fight of right between wrong, and we saw it s a pantomime and went to sleep. The whole Pakistani went to sleep. During those days and forever after I feel that we should a look at our pathetic selves before we accuse Dr Qadri of anything. I am not looking forward to the Day of Qiyamah when I will be asked what did you do when Dr Tahir ul Qadri made the call?
