Training under way : Police to have Special Combat Unit soon
Training will soon be completed and for the first time in the history of Pakistan

The province’s first Special Combat Unit (SCU) being trained by the Pakistan Army on the model of Special Services Group will soon be included in K-P police, said IGP Nasir Khan Durrani on Thursday.
While addressing an annual sports event at Hakim Abad, Nowshera, Durrani said, “Training will soon be completed and for the first time in the history of Pakistan, a well-trained force will be a part of K-P police,” said the IGP.
According to the IGP, training of 150 jawans is almost complete.
The men have been trained in maintaining physical fitness, using modern sophisticated weapons, special tactics and guerilla warfare, judo karate, rescue and first aid by the officials of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy.
“It is the need of the hour to equip the police force with modern gadgets and trainings,” said Durrani.
