CNG stations: SSGC shuts supply for two days a week

Sui Southern Gas Company decides to shut supply in Sindh and Balochistan for two days per week.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has decided to shut down gas supplies to compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in its franchise areas of Sindh and Balochistan for two days per week in order to cope with increasing demand for gas due to the onset of winter.

The decision will, however, not apply to CNG stations that have a valid restraining order from the Sindh High Court, the company said in an announcement on Monday.

SSGC claims that it was compelled to take this decision in view of the cold weather in the northern part of its franchise areas, which increases gas consumption manifold and results in shortage.
