KARACHI:

The grass root leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have suggested that their chairperson, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, should remain in touch with them, as his mother did, if he wants to see the party thrive. The advice came from a few senior office bearers who hold the position of district presidents in Sindh.

“There are some ups and downs, but PPP is hope for a new Pakistan,” said the PPP’s young chairperson Bilawal Bhutto during a dinner party hosted by him in honor of district presidents and provincial lawmakers at Bilawal House on Wednesday.

A PPP stalwart while quoting Bilawal said, “he has now begun consultation with party leaders from Sindh (its stronghold) and will continue this practice in other provinces too.” According to party sources the meeting was aimed at a formal introduction with district office bearers and MPAs.
