Irate Protesters: Cops produce prisoners before courts
Police officials had stayed away from courts since May 26

After a week of protests following clashes with lawyers in Daska, police officials produced under-trial prisoners in courts on Wednesday. However, several policemen appeared in plainclothes. Police officials had stayed away from courts since May 26. Superintendents of central and district jails had written to District and Session Judge Tariq Iftikhar Ahmed that a police squad had not been provided to them by Qila Gujar Singh police, therefore they could not produce prisoners in courts.
