An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Liaquatabad SHO on Wednesday on a petition filed by a woman seeking the registration of case against her husband. Petitioner Shazmeen Bibi stated that her husband, Muhammad Ameen, was very short-tempered and used derogatory language against her. She said that he had established illicit relations with another woman. “I went to my parents’ home for sometime. When I returned, I saw my husband with a woman. When I shouted at her, my husband badly thrashed me,” she said. Shazmeen said she had filed a complaint with the Liaquatabad police, but the SHO had not registered a case. She requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against Ameen.
