The Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday recorded bullish activity and gained 70.82 points in heavy trading. The LSE 25-share index opened at 5,707.76 points and closed at 5,778.58. The market’s volume was in line with the upward trend, surging to 3.977 million shares against the previous turnover of 869,200 shares, an increase of 3.108 million shares. Out of the 91 stocks traded during the day, 28 moved up, five closed lower and 58 remained unchanged. The top three gainers of the day were Habib Bank Limited, Mari Petroleum Company and United Bank Limited, showing an increase of Rs9.72, Rs5.99 and Rs4.97 per share respectively. Faysal Bank Limited, Fauji Cement Company Limited and Pakistan International Airlines Corporation lost Rs0.10, Rs0.09 and Rs0.07 per share respectively.
