Anti-Pakistan Slogan: DAG summoned over probe resumption

The petitioner said during the 1998 presidential elections a ballot paper was found with an anti-Pakistan slogan on it

LAHORE:
Lahore High Court on Monday sought assistance from a deputy attorney general on a plea seeking directive for the federal government to investigate and fix responsibility for an anti-Pakistan slogan found written on a ballot paper cast in the 1998 presidential election.

The petitioner said during the 1998 presidential elections a ballot paper was found with an anti-Pakistan slogan on it. He said then prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, had vowed to hold an inquiry but his government was toppled before there could be any headway. He asked LHC to direct Sharif to take up the matter.
