KARACHI:
Criticising a television channel for broadcasting ‘baseless’ and ‘concocted’ news about him, Sindh information and local government minister Sharjeel Memon asked the channel in question to either prove the allegations levelled against him or apologise in some manner.
“To level false allegations without proof is not freedom of the press,” he said, addressing press conference at his office on Monday. Memon asked the channel to show where the Rs2 billion allegedly recovered from his house were deposited. He insisted that no such raid was conducted at his house and the news was merely propaganda against him.
