Three labourers killed in Neelum Jehlum Hydroelectric Project blast
Two Chinese nationals among 16 injured and were taken to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayad Al-Nahyan Hospital in Muzaffarabad
MUZAFFARABAD:
At least three labourers were killed and 16 others injured early Monday morning when a blast occurred due to a gas leak at a site under construction near the Neelum Jehlum Hydroelectric Project (NJHP).
Police sources confirmed that the blast occurred due to a gas leakage from the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) near Majhoi site of NJHP some 20 kilometres away from the Capital City of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Three local labourers died on the spot and two Chinese nationals were among the 16 who sustained injuries.
The deceased were identified as Zahid Mughal, Syed Alam and Raja Umair.
The injured labourers were rushed to the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayad Al-Nahyan Hospital Muzaffarabad, where three are said to be in critical condition.
