Three-year contract: Qureshi new AIOU registrar

The executive council of the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has appointed prominent educationist Dr Muhammad Naeem Qureshi as the new registrar of the varsity for a period of three years.



Qureshi is likely to take charge of his office on Monday and will be replacing the chairman of the department of agriculture sciences Dr Nowshad Khan who was holding the additional charge of registrar, said a press release.


Currently, Qureshi was working as the registrar of Azad Kashmir University.


With almost 32 years of experience as an academician and administrator, Qureshi has served in other leading institutions like the Lahore University of Management Sciences.


He did his PhD and MPhil in mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
