LAHORE:
The Concerned Citizens Pakistan (CCP) has condemned the government over the killing of 20 people in Mastung on Friday.
“Why weren’t security guards accompanying the passenger buses? This is a vulnerable route where public transport should have armed escort,” the CCP said in a statement.
It said this was not the first such incident. “Law enforcement agencies have shown negligence and complacency in not protecting the lives of citizens in Balochistan.”
It said the Friday violence showed that federal and Balochistan governments had failed to deliver on their promise to eliminate militant groups.
