Financial Assistance: Rs50,000 given for poet’s treatment
Sindh govt released Rs50,000 as financial assistance to Sindhi poet Khadim Hussain Shar for his medical treatment
KARACHI:
Special assistant to the Sindh chief minister for culture and tourism, Sharmila Farooqi, has approved Rs50,000 as financial assistance to renowned Sindhi poet Khadim Hussain Shar for his medical treatment, a handout said on Friday. The veteran Sindhi poet and sufi raagi is suffering from a neurological disorder and has been admitted in the ICU of Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi. Faruqi said that Khadim Hussain’s case is being dealt with as a special case by the Endowment Fund. His case will also be brought before the next Endowment Fund committee meeting for further support. Member of the Endowment Fund committee, Sarfaraz Rajar, and deputy director culture, Aijaz Ahmed Shaikh, visited the hospital and presented the cheque to his family.
