Eradicating forgery: Electronic stamp papers soon

Board of Revenue Senior Member Nadeem Ashraf said on Friday that electronic stamp papers would be introduced district-wide on June 8 to eradicate forgery. He was speaking at a meeting. Ashraf said the initiative had been taken following a directive by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He said the initiative would be replicated province-wide after its implementation in the district. Ashraf said those purchasing stamp papers would also be intimated via SMS. He said challan form 32-A would be downloaded following the provision of particulars. Ashraf said seminars would be organised province-wide to raise public awareness regarding the benefits of using e-stamp papers. He said the introduction of e-stamp papers would improve revenue recovery.
