LAHORE:

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has blocked nearly 100,000 national identity cards during identification of foreign nationals.

Faiq Ali, a representative of the NADRA, told a private channel the authority was checking the record of suspicious card holders. “About 100,000 cards have been blocked.  Most of those holding the identity cards are Afghans.” He said the NADRA system could identify and block suspicious cards. He did not explain how the people had managed to obtain the identity cards.
