The KSE says its management also produced financial statements of companies for which requests were made
KARACHI:
In response to a story published in The Express Tribune, the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) has said that it has organised and improved safe-keeping of historic record so that it is preserved for possible use and has not discarded any old record pertaining to listed and delisted companies. According to the KSE, it was wrongly reported that the KSE management has discarded financial statements of companies for years before 2004. “We would like to state that the exchange has not destroyed any record of a listed company, records pertaining to only delisted companies and certain other related record of the exchange has been housed in a professional data storage service. Records of listed companies have not been destroyed or dumped or shifted to any other place.” The KSE says its management also produced financial statements of companies for which requests were made.
