Anti-Encroachment Operation: Shopkeepers fined, goods confiscated

RAWALPINDI:
The Rawal Town Municipal Administration (TMA) under its anti-encroachment operation on Friday imposed fines on 43 shopkeepers while goods of 52 shopkeepers were confiscated from various areas. The operation was launched under the special directives of Rawal Town Administrator Imran Qureshi. Town Officer Regulation Malik Tauseef, enforcement superintendent, and inspectors along with staff conducted raids at Liaquat Road, Iqbal Road, College Road, Sadiqabad, Commercial Market and Raja Bazaar. According to a TMA spokesman, the operation aims at providing relief to residents. He said that city markets are regularly being checked and staff is conducting raids at main markets and roads of the town.
