Ambush: Two JI, PTI workers gunned down in Swabi

Ahmad and Ashfaq were killed instantly and were later buried in their native village

Unidentified assailants gunned down two party workers and injured one of their acquaintances in Saleem Khan union council, Swabi district Thursday night.



Bashir Ahmad of Jamaat-e-Islami and Ashfaq of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were sitting with Syed Ali near a mosque when two unidentified men opened fire on them. An injured Ali told police that Ashfaq, a security guard at a primary school near the mosque, had previously seen two unidentified men walk by the school a few times while he was on duty. Ali, Ahmad and Asfhaq had been sitting and chatting after prayers when the assailants came and opened fire on them. Ahmad and Ashfaq were killed instantly and were later buried in their native village. Police registered an FIR on the complaint of Ali.
