Me.

What sparked your interest in the fashion industry?

It’s an industry where I could always envision my growth in terms of work and fame.

What is the most important thing to keep in mind before designing?

A fashion forecast is a must!

How has the Pakistani fashion industry changed over the past years?

There is a lot of new talent emerging along with technical skills. This makes our industry much bigger than ever before. Fashion weeks have been introduced which has given a huge boost to Pakistani fashion and attracted many foreign buyers as well. The industry is finally taken seriously.

What do you have to say about the new designers?

All of them have amazing skills and ideas. Each and every one has got great potential.

Name one celebrity you would like to work with in the near future and why?

I recently saw a beautiful young actress Sohai Ali Abro who has the kind of body and face I would like to dress and experiment on.

How does your brand differ from others in the market?

The Nida Khurram brand is all about getting trends and the traditions together. We play with different fabrics and embellishments a lot to keep things fun.

How do you bring your inspiration into reality?

I follow six key steps: Idea, inspiration, sketch, developments, variations and the final product.

What constitutes a good fashion show?

A hot collection with a dynamite production is necessary.

One material for all seasons?

My all-time favourite is organza.

Any advice for aspiring female designers?

Work hard because it’s a serious business.
