ISLAMABAD:
The capital’s lawyers abstained from judicial work on Wednesday to express solidarity with their slain colleagues, the Daska Bar Association President Rana Khalid Abbas and Irfan Chohan advocate, who were killed when a clash broke out between lawyers and police officials in Daska, Sialkot on May 25.

All legal work came to a halt as lawyers abstained from judicial work on a strike call by the Pakistan Bar Council and Islamabad Bar Council.

A high number of cases were simply adjourned at the Islamabad High Court, district and the anti-terrorism courts as lawyers did not appear.
