Senior journalist Mian Muhammad Rafique was laid to rest in Manera village, Balakot, Manshera on Wednesday. Rafique, who remained associated with numerous national newspapers including Daily Jang and Daily Khabrain, died on Tuesday. In a handout issued on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Minister for Information Mushtaq Ghani, and Minister for Local Government Inayatullah Khan expressed sorrow over his demise. “Rafique’s contribution will be remembered for years to come,” the handout quoted Khattak as saying.
